What is the difference between a zodiac sign and a Rashi?

They’re the same twelve signs, but Western astrology and Vedic astrology use different zodiacs. Your Western sun sign is based on the tropical zodiac; your Vedic Rashi (moon sign) uses the sidereal zodiac and the Moon’s position. How do I find my zodiac sign / Rashi by date of birth?
